Wife Donna and cycling buddy Tom at entrance to C&O canal.The C&O canal is paved up to the Crescent Trail that continues north through Bethesda, MD. After this junction the canal trail turns into hard pack clay and small pebbles. For the continuation of the canal trail a hybrid or mountain bike is recommended.
