October 2000 Seagull Century

On our way from Richmond, VA to Salisbury, MD for the Seagull Century we pass over then under the Chesapeake Bay. This is the south end of the bridge tunnel looking towards the north end of the tunnel.

The fishing pier is located at the south end of the tunnel.

August 26, 2000 C&O Canal Trail

The C&O canal is paved up to the Crescent Trail that continues north through Bethesda, MD. After this junction the canal trail turns into hard pack clay and small pebbles. For the continuation of the canal trail a hybrid or mountain bike is recommended.
