June 2003 Bike Virginia - Five days of Virgina/West Virginia Cycling

Bike Virginia offers outdoor camping or gymnasium camping. This is a view of Tent City.

An old railroad round house was nearby one of our lunch break locations.

The ceiling of the round house.

Inside the round house.

A horse farm.

One of our lunch stops.

One of the many churches that provided fresh baked cookies, candy, cake and fresh fruits for the cyclists.

The day of the century, we were detoured due to local flooding. This is the same day I got lost.

A new friend was made when Paul and I found ourselves in Oasis, West Virginia, about 10 miles off the planned route. We soon found out that we were both from Midlothian and have cycled together many times since. This picture was taken at Harper's Ferry.

Happy Trails!
