May 2, 2003 NYC Boroughs Ride

Sunday morning and we are ready to rock and roll, along with about 30,000 other cyclists!

We worked our way north from Battery Park and found ourselves waiting across from Ground Zero for the ride to start. This is looking north on Church Street.

Looking South on Church Street.

After starting and stopping many times we can see the trees of Central Park.

Once at Central Park the crowd thins and we are well on our way. There are cyclists on the bridge... look closely and you can see a few heads.

The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in the distance connects us to Staten Island.

Looking back from the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge.
End of the line at Staten Island.

On the ferry back to Battery Park

Thank you, New York!
