Day 17, June 16: Missoula to Ovando 52.5 miles temperature 50s - 70s

First thing on the agenda today was to stop at Adventure Cycling's headquarters off of Pine St. in Missoula. Then a short ride with sunny skies as we follow the Clark Fork River out of Missoula. Our starting altitude was about 3,300 ft and at Ovanda we were at about 4,250 ft. A couple of extra hills provided some additional climbs and exhilarating down hills. Because of limited lodging accomodations, the six males, Rich, Ron, Jim (SC), Keith, Frank and Cal took a 4.5 mile detour down a dusty gravel road to the Upsata Lake B&B. Population of Ovando is 71.
