Day 20, June 19: Augusta to Great Falls 53.5 miles with a tailwind, temp in 60s and 70s

We left Augusta around 8:00 AM and traveled mostly east with a good tailwind into Great Falls. The ride was pleasant with lots of sunshine and very little traffic on route 21 and 200. At Sun River we picked up US route 89 and the traffic picked up but with a wider shoulder. Those of us that arrived early got to use the La Quinta hotel's pool and hot tub as we waited for rooms. A very nice riding day indeed. Great Falls population: 56,690.
