Day 31, June 30: Hardin to Ashland. Distance 84.1 miles w/ Temperatures from 60s to low 100s

A long days ride from Hardin to Ashland with a stop at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. Due to the distance and time at the battlefield our arrival into Ashland was late with the afternoon temperature climbing into high 90s or low 100s. But it was a dry heat so not as bad as if in Virginia. Our path stayed on route 212 and rode through the Crow Indian Reservation and the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation. Between Crow Agency and Lame Deer there were no services available. Judy popped a spoke on the ride and required transport back to Billings for a Bike Shop. The last 20 miles of the ride gave us a long climb through Badger Peak with a long down hill into Ashland.
