The Richmond National Battlefield Park is a great place for bringing your kids for a short and safe ride. It is off of Rt 5 on the eastern side of Richmond.

This picture was taken on the south side of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and shows construction of the new lanes.
On our way back to Mt. Vernon we like to stop at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria for a short break and cold drink.
