The Richmond National Battlefield Park is a great place for bringing your kids for a short and safe ride. It is off of Rt 5 on the eastern side of Richmond.

July 24, 2005 Mt. Vernon Trail to Washington DC

My friend Tom at the northern end of the Reagan National Airport where we like to take a break and watch the airplanes land.

When the wind is from the south, you can get some exciting views.

And the sound is even more exciting!

This picture was taken on the south side of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and shows construction of the new lanes.

On our way back to Mt. Vernon we like to stop at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria for a short break and cold drink.
